Banu Taşkın graduated from Ankara Atatürk High School in 1984 and continued her education in the Department of Economics at METU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. She started her business life in 1990 as an FX Trader at Körfez Bank, and after working for 5 years, she worked at Bank Kapital and then at Boyner Holding as a Treasury Manager. She started her job as a Manager at İş Yatırım, Investment Consultancy Department in 2001 and left in 2007 as the Deputy General Manager. She worked as the Private Banking Director of Türk Ekonomi Bankası between 2007-2010. She served as the General Manager of Harvey Nichols between May 2010 and October 2010. She continued her duty as the Group Director of TEB Private Banking from November 2010 to August 2021. She started her new career as the General Manager of TEV in September 2021. Banu Taşkın is the mother of two boys, aged 26 and 19.
