After studying Business Administration at Gazi University in Ankara between 1995 and 1999, she completed an MBA program at the University of Lincoln. Having begun her career during her student years, she joined the Petrol Ofisi Group Companies in 2000, working in Human Resources. Throughout her career, Duygu Erzurumlu Cengiz has held various positions, serving successively as Human Resources Organizational Development Manager, R&M Human Resources Manager, OMV Petrol Ofisi Human Resources Operations Manager, and Petrol Ofisi Human Resources Operations Manager. She served as the Shared Services Director at Akenerji from 2019 to 2025. Since 2021, she has held the role of CHRO at Akkök Holding in addition to her existing position at Akenerji. She also serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Akhan A.Ş. and as a Board Member for both Kidzania and Dinkal A.Ş.
