Baltaş Group Founder and Psychologist

Prof. Dr. Acar Baltaş is one of the pioneers in Turkey who showed the masses that psychology is a solution for human needs and the problems of business life. He introduced the concepts of stress and body language to Turkey together with Prof. Dr. Zuhal Baltaş. Acar Baltaş, who completed his secondary education at Istanbul Boys High School and his higher education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Psychology, completed his doctorate on “higher brain functions” at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Department of Neurology. He received his Doctor of Medical Sciences (M. Sc. Dr.) in the field of clinical neurophysiology in 1981, Associate Professor of Applied Psychology in 1986, and Professor in 1996. He worked at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Department of Neurology between 1977-1997. Since 1983, he has been giving seminars, doing applications, and writing books by combining his knowledge in the fields of communication and medical psychology with the needs of business life. He was the psychological counselor of the Turkish National Football Team between 1996-1999 and of the Galatasaray Football Team in the 2002-2003 season, and continued this duty with the Turkish National Football Team in 2005. He was interested in swimming, water polo and football in his childhood and youth; he started working at the Veliefendi Hippodrome at the age of seventeen; he got to know different aspects of life by working as a hotel receptionist, presenter, disc jockey, tourist guide and teacher; he learned to respect the labor of those who do seemingly ordinary jobs. He is married to Prof. Dr. Zuhal Baltaş and has two children.
